Hi i am a 26 year old healthy mother of two. no surgeys or allergies.I am non smoker, drinker, and use no drugs. I am on orthoticycleren-lo birth control pills. About a month ago I was feeling ill after eating and vomitted.during which i felt a tingling in legs and arms, and felt myself going numb. I was able to call for help and within a minute someone was there to help me. I blacked out and was dragged from bathroom to open area where i remained unconscience for 10-15 minutes until the ambulance got there. During the unconscienceness i was told i kept stiffeneing body, drooling, and going to the bathroom (urine and bowel) on myself. This i do not remember and remember feeling very groggy for about an hour after this. Was admitted and had heart monitered. Which they told me was normal. Also CT scan of brain appeared normal and EKG's. Do you think this could have been a seizure? I had MRi done and waiting to see a neurologist. just wanting an opinion while i wait thanks

Well...it could have been a seizure...the body's reaction was that of Gran Mal seizure activity. But the question would be why? What could have caused it? What is the precurser of onset?

I am more inclined to think that you may have had a very bad reaction to the vomitting spell...like you began to asperate and choke; as convulsions, fainting , loss of bodily function control (including drooling), etc, can be present.

You'll be in my prayers that this was an isolated incident for you...but your doctors are doing all the proper tests.
