I am a 50-year-old white female with a history of a blood clot behind my right knee (I had just started taking ERT one month before this happened). The clot was removed a year ago when I was admitted to the hospital because my right leg was going numb and toes turning blue. I am on Coumadin 7 mg daily. The day before yesterday I took a Phentermine tab (my PCP wrote Rx) the other day (first time in a while) at 8:00 in the morning. Around 1:00 I was in a store and my heart started beating wildly and out of whack. I started getting shortness of breath, neck pain, sweating, and everything started going gray and I had to hang onto a counter to stand up. I didn't pass out. After the feeling went away and I could walk without feeling dizzy, I went to the restroom and stayed about five minutes until I felt better. I called my PCP and left message and was never called back. Got ahold of a message nurse from the office and she said not to worry about it, it was probably the Phentermine and to quit taking it (which I already have). I'm worried it was close to a heart attack or something? What should I do?
