What happens physically to a person who is hanged?
Sent to Health Experts February 26 06:07 PM

I am writing a novel in which a man is hanged,
and I want to give the details of the hanging,
that is, what happens in the neck to kill him.
If there are other details which might be
interesting, such as why the feet slouch as they
seem to do, or, what happens in the heart.
That would be interesting. Details, please

When a person is hanged most of the time their necks break from the pressure. That is why in some cases people are made to stand on something and then it is taken away quickly. The heart will stop because of lack of oxygen.

Reply to James Grant's Post: The answer was so obvious it was absurd.
Any fool would know what he replied.
I want some detail about what happens in the body
when a person is hanged. What he responded was
nonsense. I won't bother you again.
