this incident happened a week ago today so a mri would show it? and should i go to my family doctor first and then have a check up or what thank you!!

The mri should be revealing at this point. You should make an acute visit appointment with your family doctor, describe the incident and have a thorough neurologic and cardiovascular exam. If you had a mild stroke, you will need evaluation for heart and carotid blood flow as well as blood work. Start with an exam asap, the next will be based on your physical findings.
