My wife and I recently birthed a baby girl who it turns out has a chromosome deficiency, i.e., Chromosome 22.q.11 Duplication Syndrome. We did not this until 2 weeks after her birth and after heart disease was diagnosed. We saved her cord blood. My question now is does the cord blood have much future application for her, family members, etc., given the blood must also contain the Syndrome?
