my mother is almost 60. she has had heart problems in the past and was put on blood thinner. She also had an ulcer and was passing blood in her stool so they did "something" to stop the ulcer from bleeding. This was about a year ago. Today mom tells me that she went to the DR. this morning because she is again passing blood in her stool. They did some test and told her that she also has blood in her kindeys. She says this is not the blood like her ulcer. Her white blood cell count also off. We have a history of colon cancer and other cancers in our family. I'm afraid mom isn't telling me all that there is to this. Is it likely cancer, or what else could it be? She said she feels fine. She is going for a colonosipy next week, what might they be looking for? Why do people usually have those? I'm 29 years old and mom still tries to hide when she is ill from me. please help, I just want to be prepared
