My husband is 50 , He had two silent heart attacks at 36 which destroyed the lower left quartron of the heart, diagnoised two years ago with 50% blockage and told that his heart is functioning at only 60%. He takes 50mg of topral for high bloodpreasure a day. His famil;y doctor doesent seem to be taking this to seriously, but im worried. I dont really understand about the 60% heart function, what could or should be done about theis. Thanks angelamcclusky

Hello

I would highly suggest he get a referral to a cardiologist so his heart can be thoroughly checked out. They may prescribe some cardiac rehap therapy, and do some further testing to see what the damage is now. There is a chance of the heart repairing itself too, but being tested will tell you that, and give you peace of mind of knowing exactly what is going on.
