We need a Forensic Pathologist to look into the autopsy in ...

Sent to Health Experts April 09, 2006 2:37 a.m.

We need a Forensic Pathologist to look into the autopsy in the death case of our daughter. Our daughter died in Kentucky under exceedingly suspicious circumsatnces.

Optional Information:
Male , Age: 50

Already Tried:
Police, attorneys, our family physician, who is convinced it was a homicide. The prepetrator had means and motive. There was a lot of domestic violence and when she finally had had it, was in the process of leaving, he ran her over with his truck. We believe it is homicide, the police do, but the crime scene was destroyed. There are a lot more details to this case. Thanks from parents of a wonderful woman who died too young.

Hi Kolo, I just want to add my two cents until the professional gets your messsge. My friend is an attorney and told me several things, since WE DO NOT know the exact circumstances, this is a hard call. By law, this has to be an on going open case. However, we all know thousands and thousands of cases like this go "unsolved" every year. Here are so off the wall ideas, other then a Foresnic Pathologist. And I am speaking as a mother. If you have tried the local, state and what other authorities, and they have given up, waiting for the sky to fall in. Make if crash youself. The sqeeky wheel gets the grease and you need media attention. Most Criminals get caught because the stay high profile for the area. Call America's Most Wanted, and make sure you have a beautiful picture of your daughter ready to scan, police report anything for then to investigate to know its a real case. This could take some time. Second, get a lawyer, and file a lawsuit against the law inforcement agency that did the investigation, I know this is bogus, but you are a desparite mother. File for wrongful investigation, destruction of a crime scene, anything the lawyer can come up with that is with-in reason ( maybe bizarre will be better). This could get on the News and make headlines if done properly. This could get Dateline, or Primetime interested. I don't know, worth a shot. Hire a PI to follow this "suspect" and do some background stuff. Most guys like this will eventually feel like that got away with it, just by the nature he did it, and brag to somebody sooner or later. If you can find a lawyer near you (I think you will) then have you have your physician call him and speak to him. If you can't find one there, call America Most Wanted 800#, and tell them you need to speak to an attorney. Just tell then it is abouts a recent homicide, and I bet you get a call back. I think you could make enough noise to rattle this guys cage and get him. One thing, a rat eventually can't handle is a rat terrier on his back. My heart is with you, I just had to respond to you. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your help. We looked into possibly suing thr police, but have been told the only ones with pockets deep enough to solve this crime are the police themselves. The last time the Major Crimes Task Force was in touch with us was 5 weeks ago, we keep sending statements, emails, etc., to them, including statements from others here, they lived for most of their relationship and where a lot of their discord is known. As far as I know, the Major Crimes Task Force considers this an open case, there is accident reconstruction, forensics, etc., to deal with. My problem is that it is taking so long and I need someone to tell me if the circumstances and the injuries support an accidental death or a homicide. (He says she jumped from the truck when they were in the heat of battle and he was turning left at 10 mph and that's how her torso and upper and lower extremeties were crushed. She received horrible injuries.

Thanks for some great ideas, he is a rat, we're trying to keep an eye on him, but it is difficult from several hundred miles away.

Again, my thanks,

Hi--I am adding my 2 cents worth until the professional gets your message. (I just checked and he is still not online but I know he will respond once he sees the message.)

Here is the address and contact information for 48Hours:

48 Hours/CBS NEWS 524 W/ 57th Street, Room 51411 NY, NY 10019 Hannah Storm is one of the major news correspondents for this program which airs on Saturday evenings at 10 in my area (VA). Telephone number is 212-975-3247. Their web address: 48hours@cbsnews.com.

I hope maybe this idea will help some. Perhaps when the retired forensics expert who is wonderful help on this site comes on he will be able to help guide you further. I am deeply sorry for the tragedy of your circumstances. Sadly, I an relate in many ways. My Dad was a victim of homicide and I understand the pain that is indescribable and for me, it has been almost 20 years. You are in my thoughts and I hope justice is served. I realize this won't bring back your beloved daughter, but hopefully he will pay for his incomprehensible crimes.

If the site where it was claimed to have happened is accurate, then pavement, if not, dirt or grass. He said she either "jumped or fell out." He admitted to hospital & police that they were in a nasty fight and she was leaving. Her medical records show she was wearing multiple clothing layers. This happened out in the boonies, really very country area, so I don't know about witnesses. 911 was not called, instead, he called his father, she was transferred to another vehicle, he dropped her at the hospital (he was with his father) and then returned in the vehicle with which she was run over. Crime scene destroyed, she did not bleed out, all internal injuries, died 30 minutes after reaching trauma hospital, his story was it just happened & he got her to hospital in 10 minutes. We feel she was not a passenger at all, based on early accounts of the story. Also, while father & son were in interrogation, coroner called us, then I called his mother. She gave a totally different scenario of the incident, far and away from the story that father & son gave.

Petty theft was his biggest misdemeanor, he was checking his pals through the register at a discount store for 10 cents on the dollar. He was ordered to pay restitution (it took him 9 years to do that, $600.) and was barred from the store. Lots of traffic misdeameanors, driving under suspension, without a license, without insurance, a couple for drugs (marijuana) and paraphernalia.
There are two small children involved, when we were at the funeral home, he was at the courthouse. That makes all of this extra painful, not to mention : a.) she couldn't gripe at him anymore about getting a job b.) he gets her Social Security benefits for the two children, c.) she had had an affair and his mother said "this all leads back to what she did" blaming my daughter's infidelity to this bum for her murder. The kids seem like they are trained to not talk about their mother - the day after she died, he called to see if we wanted her stuff, else it was going to Goodwill. That's such a guilty act. Wipe her out of mind, out of sight, she never existed. He was very calm and almost giddy at the funeral. Everyone remarked on it. Even prior to this, I would have chosen a car as his weapon of choice - he's a idiot driver, the kind who road rages, cuts people off, flips them off, keys parked cars...he's a jerk. We knew he was a jerk, but now we've educated ourselves & he is a sociopath, he fits 7 out of 7 of the diagnostic criteria from the DSM (Diagnostic Manual for Psychiatric Disorders) I wish we had educated ourselves before.

Thank you so much for all of your help and I will be checking tomorrow - I am fortunate to work at home (though getting the work is hard!)

Bless you, Marie, for your prayers for my daughter, I want justice, not vengeance. No matter how you slice it, he killed my daughter. I'm sending you a PM. Thanks again
