Ive had bronchitus and have been on

Sent to Health Experts April 12, 2006 1:26 p.m.

Ive had bronchitus and have been on prednisone which makes me very edgy. The doctor told me to quit taking the prednisone. I am currently taking Avelox 400 mg. , effexor xr 150 mg., Verapamil er 240mg and Advair and Maxair. Can I take a xanax for the anxiety with these current medications?

Yes there are no reactions listed for the above current medications that you are taking and the xanax. Prednisone can cause this reaction in alot of people as it is a steroid and can speed the heart rate but you should be fine with the xanax and the above medications you have listed.
