When i have this pain my heart jumps to 110 and then when the pain goes away it drops back down.Is this something I should have checked out? thanks

Yes, definitely you should have this checked out. There is the possibility of it being something like GERD. However, this could also be cardiac in origin. You should see your health care provider ASAP.

For over the counter meds you can try zantac or prilosec. It may be necessary to see your health care provider for a prescription for prevacid or nexium, depending on how you do with the OTC medications. It may also be helpful to do some dietary alterations, like decreasing caffeine, spicy, and high fat foods. Also, sometimes it is helpful to elevate the head of your bed. (Some people just put the head of the bed up on blocks, though this is scary to me. You can also purchase bed wedges to just elevate the mattress.)
