Sent to Health Experts July 05, 2006 12:42 p.m.

I've got black lines growing my fingernails. This is not normal. First it was just one fingernail and now I've got it on about four or five of them. It seems like they're not going away. I would like to see the doctor right away but I'm out of state and I won't return back home until next month. I'm already sick and worried. What should I do?

Can you describe the lines? Are they running horizontal or vertical? Any other health issues that would be helpful to know?

black thin vertical lines and one strip on every fingernail. I've got these on 4 or 5 fingernails.
