You are wise to be concerned about these pains. Many people get pain in their head, neck and jaw during a heart problem. The pain that people feel during a heart attack can be described as pressure in the chest and feeling as though there is an elephant sitting on their chest.

Your GP may be right after your evaluation in regards to your pain. But, if you are not comfortable you can ask to get lab tests to show markers that show up in the blood after a heart attack. Or, simply go to a specialist, for further evaluation.

I am concerned about your comment of taking an extra diuretic. Are you taking more than prescribed? What type of med are you on? Too much or the mixing of more than one of these meds without the advise of a MD can seriously put you in danger. The mechanism of action of diuertics puts you at risk for electrolyte imbalances that can cause heart arrhythmias. If you feel as though your meds are not working for you, go to the doctor and discuss a revision.

Hope this helps, if you have anymore questions, please feel free to ask!
