My father is 73 yrs old. He had a triple bypass at 55, and has had 2 angioplasties since. On May 17 he had another bypass on one artery. Another artery is totally blocked. The last main artery is 90% blocked and the cardiologist wants to put a stent in it. Dad is doing quite well after the bypass, and the heart surgeon isn't so sure that the angioplasty is necessary at this time, while the cardiologist thinks it IS a good idea. Do you think the procedure is worth the risk?

If he tolerated well to previous angioplasties and bypass surgeries, i think he will be able to tolerate it again . Looks like his heart needs better blood flow to the heart muscles and the procedure is worth the risk if the ejection fraction of the heart is below the normal .
