Is taking the choldesterol lowering drug really beneficial for a 94 ye

I am a 94 year old woman. I am taking cholesterol lowering meds that bring my cholesterol level to 212. This drug costs me over one hunderd dollars a month. I had a mild stroke 6 months ago from which I am learning to cope with. At my age is the cholesterol lowering drug worth the expense? In other words, is it really prolonging my life?

Since you had the stroke , it is important that you continue to take the medication to keep the cholesterol low so your arteries does not get blocked or clogged and you do not get another stroke or heart attack.So probably cholesterol lowering medication will prolong your life.
