Web of pain
Sent to Health Experts September 05 05:41 PM

I have this problem that occurs due to the gag reflex (like when I brush my teeth) that causes me to vomit. Starting out the same level as my heart a burning web of pain spreads over the top of my chest & up my neck, which stop at my ears. It tenses the muscles as if I am being choked. It travels to the top of my arms & tenses those muscles but stops at the elbow & causes tingling in the rest of my arm, hand, & fingers. Also it will sometimes cause the sensation to travel to my legs as well. It dosn't happen all the time & sometimes occurs when I bend over frontwards or expert pressure durring a bowel movement. WHAT IS IT? It scares me tremendiously & is very painful. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia too.

Reply to Christy Hammond's Post: I believe the first episode happened after the birth of my second daughter in 8/94. Maybe about one to two years after.

They last less than a minute, but the pain spreads to other parts of my body within the next minute or so. After the muscle contract the paon & stffness last from a few hours to a few days. I have been tested for just about everything muscle 7 nerve related. The only tests I haven't had are with the heart or vascular. I do however have high colesteral, low maganisium, and of course the fibromyalgia (diagnosed in 10/2000).
