I have been having these odd episodes lately, which have been increasing in frequency over the past month. They most often occur as I am moving my bowels, but have come about at other times. They include the following: immediate and intense headache, usually in the back of my head and without warning; heart palpitations, usually resulting in the feeling of chest pressure and fluttering/buzzing feelings; flushing and feeling hot; and, sometimes sweating and shakiness following the episode. An episode might last for anywhere from five to fifteen minutes, with the after effects lasting up to several hours.

I do not have a history of high blood pressure personally, but it tends to run in my family. I am currently on 20 mg of Fluoxitene daily for what has been termed anxiety disorder. I have been on this medication for about two years without marked side effects.

Is this something that I should be concerned about?
