Question

Continous Tingling Feet

Sent to Health Experts October 10, 2006 8:48 p.m.

Hey there,
My name is Abram, I just turned 30 yrs old. I've never been on medication, no history of medical problems at all. I'm 6'2", 195lbs with maybe 7% body fat, and I workout out ALL THE TIME. I'm very athletic, but I don't eat healthy all the time, but you could never tell cause my metabolism is ultra fast.   Now, having said that, let me say this....
I have a problem with my feet. They tingle all the time as if they are asleep. What's worse is that when I get on the treadmill and start running, the tingling gets bad to a point where I have to stop within 20secs of active running. I'm not sure if I pinched a nerve or what, but I got really scared cause I thought that maybe I had a blood clot in my leg that was stopping blood flow to both of my feet. My wife checked me in to the ER, and the doctor checked my reflexes on my lower body and everything checked out fine. They took blood work, and the overseeing M.D. could not determine my problem. He referred me to a Primary Physician, but I haven't gone yet. I'm a Subcontractor for Home Depot and I install Hurricane Protection on homes everyday. This has been going on for 3 weeks and the tingling is still there. What's wrong with me?? I'm anxious to get back in the gym but I'm scared that I may have nerve damage if I continue to be active in the gym.. I don't even know if it's a problem with my nerves, I'm just scared.....   Please help me...

REPLIED Check Mark

Welcome to JA,

You need to have a circulation test done. Testing your reflexs and the normal blood work would not show a clot in the groin area where the main trunk vessel splits and goes to both legs. I would recommend you make arrangements to get this done ASAP as it could lead to a heart attack.

I will accept, thank you! Just one quick thing, do I just go to a doctor and ask for a circulation test, or do I go to the hospital?
