I informed them of my meds and they refused to even call my dr. I spent 6 days in solitary because I was delusional had lost control of my body functions I was unconcious most of the time but what I do remember was the most horrible thing I've ever experienced. Finally I was taken to a hosp. diagnosed w/ severe hypokalemia & tested pos. for meth I DO NOT use illegal drugs. Since then my bp & pulse rate has been elevated.I've been weak & tired &diagnosed w/ ptsd I need to understand what happened to my body & can there be perm damage? Can't you die if you go thru a rapid detox w/o med supervision? Please help me understand what happened to me. Thank you please ans.asap Customer (name blocked for privacy)

Withdrawling from narcotics is a very painful thing to go through. In term of dying people do not die from narcotic withdrawl.

It usually lasta about 3 days. The withdrawl can be severe but you don't die from withdrawl it would be good to be medically supervised to control the pain and other withdrawl effects but you certainly do not die.

You may be thinking of withdrawl from valiun xanax or another like drug. That can cause people to have seizures and could die if you lose the ability to breathe.

There should not be permanant damage. The effects from withdrawl are gone in 3-5 days. It doesn not produce any heart problems, lungs problems.

If you stayed off them it you could have cravings for the narcotics. You may get sweaty from times to time.

I would not blame you elevated BP and Pulse on this event. You may simply need to add a beta blocker to you regiman of medicine. It will decrease both your BP and pulse.

<eth can be positive with some medications and other reasons. I knowe adderal can cause a positive result. It is not submisable in court anyway because it has to be ran in a sanctioned lab to be able to do this. Hospital labs to not do that.

I would say the withdrawl was certinly made worse with you taking xanax. As I said it can cause seizures, hallutiations among other symtoms

I believe but of these drugs caused the withdraw
Hope it helps and relieves some of your concerns .

I laid on the floor of the jail cell for 6 days unconcious. I was so weak and delusional I was unable to walk.I've heard that Provigil can cause a pos result for meth??I don't know..Ive been thru opiate withdraw and this was not that. I have never lain unconcious urinating & defacating on myself.& i am happy to pay you for your time

If this was different I wonder if something else was going on? Why did you get arrested? The hypokalemia was not caused from opiate withdrawl. Certainly sounds like you were dehydrated. This probably lead to the hypocalcemia.

I wonder if you had a infection. This could cause your symptoms?

Why did the jail not do anything? That is almost criminal on their part.

Is it possibe you had seizures? that can cause you to urinate on yourself. It can also be why you pooped on yourself.

Was there anything going on at that time? Sick in anyway. Something dosen't add up.

Let me know. Talk to you soon.

no,i don't think i had anyting else wrong.I flew trapeeze for 10 yrs and fell in 82 I've had 2 surgeries and been on pain meds off&on for almost 25 yrs.I was attacked in my home 5yrs ago (he got 80 years) thats when I began the paxil, xanax,&halcion for sleep I have pretty much been a recluse since then. I was arrested because i agreed to watch a friends child at her house my 5 yr old was there too I had no idea she has ever been in jail or that she had a bunch of drugs in her house(honest)right before she left the probation officers showed up and i was charged w/her drugs & child endangerment i am fighting this but ive been on disability for years & good lawyers are not cheap. Honest to (you know who)im not that kind of person 7yrs of infertility,invitro..i wouldnt let my kid around that stuff. As soon as i was back on my meds all symptoms went away.let me know if you think of anything i really appriciate your time.My mom saw me in jail and said she thought i was gone forever..mentally. i cant remember. the jail had to set up special visiting for her so the other inmates wouldnt see me. It was criminal on thier part.
