would you recommend at doppler at home to check on the heart rate - while they were doing the ultrasound the baby's heart rate increased to 134-140 -- is this normal for the heart rate to do this?

Pati Heble,

It is very common for the heart rate to fluctuate throughout the day. The normal rate is between 120-150 beats per minute, but this can vary, and at times can rise to 200 or drop to 100. So at 134-140 I would not be concerned.
