Viagra is considered safe to be used by diabetics who have low incidences of complications with their diabetes. ED is a common problem in diabetes so this is pretty good news; unfortunately they are discovering that viagra does not necessarily work as well in men who have diabetes.
At 100 milligrams, diabetic men are not responding on average with the same improvements as men who do not have diabetes who are on the same doseage.
It has also been discovered that men with diabetes that have two or more complications (like eye impairment, kidney impairment, or heart problems) were significantly at higher risk for showing no improvement with the viagra drug.
My advice to you is to not get discouraged. Most likely, you need to speak with your doctor about this and see about getting your dosage adjusted. Because it is a common problem for diabetics to be less responsive to viagra, your doctor will likely be aware of this and be very open to collaboration to see what WILL work for you.
As a side note, it might also interest you to know that viagra has been shown to help with stomach problems in diabetic men; here is an article if you are interested:http://prn.usm.my/viagra/july2000.html
