Question

I'm having trouble with my bowel movements.

Sent to Health Experts January 08, 2007 12:40 a.m.

I'm having trouble with my bowel movements. I've had problems before with like an itch and trouble going but not like this. Seems I have some swelling and recently it has begun to have a burning sensation when having a movement. What can I do to mend this problem?

Optional Information:
Male , Age: 20

Already Tried:
For problems before some vasaline to sooth the area or some A+D would work, this time, it doesn't appear to be doing the trick.

No, not constipated. There is no blood in the stool. I may be under some stress from haveing to start at college, but nothing I haven't felt before I think...

Hi

Have you noticed any mass coming out of anus?

How many times you pass stool daily? What is the consistency?

Are you overweight?

Thanks

There is no mass coming from the anus, that may be the problem, because my stool is usually once a day and solid, but recently it is two to three times and half diaria some solid some liquid. I'm not even close to overweight.

another correction to my last reply, actually more like revelation. From the way I'm starting to feel, I think I might have the flu or just an upset stomach, considering this is about day 2 I'd say the flu.

Hi

Do you have any desire to scratch the anus?

Is itching over anus is uncontrolled?

Thanks

You see that's what has been confusing me, on the other times that I said there was an itch and it was tough to deal with, but I took care of it, this one, no itch whatsoever.

Following tips wil help you greatly in relieffrom burning sensation & itching:

1.Clean and dry the anus thoroughly.

2.Avoid leaving soap in the anal area.

3. Cleaning should include gentle showering without direct rubbing or irritation of the skin with either the washcloth or towel.

4.After bowel movements, moist pads should be used for cleaning the anus instead of toilet paper.
