Since Dec. I have noticed my stool will have a very light tinge of blood on it. It has never been enough to where I could really identify it as blood until this morning. There was a stringy bit of blood that swirled in the water as I flushed the toilet. What could this mean? I am a healthy....at least I think so, 34 year old female. I do not smoke, or do any kind of drugs, I exercise regularly, and maintain a very healthy weight. Please help me.

What I saw today was fresh. What type of treatment would be required for polyp etc. and what causes them?

If I were to do nothing, would this go away, would it get worse or what would happen? Since there is no pain and there is so little blood that until today I wasn't really certain it was blood at all? Can it get better on its own?

It is possible that it will get better on its own, but since this has happened multiple times I would be happier if we reaches a specific diagnosis...
Rarely it is possible that we may get severe bleeding due to the underlying cause.
Also chronic blood loss may lead to weakness too,
