This is all information I found myself online, in like 15 minuets. It doesn't really help me. The websites suggest I go see a doctor. I don't have the means to do that, and so I wrote and am willing to pay on here to get a bit more clarity. I just had a bowel movement, accompanied by blood. How do I tell if this is just hemmorrhoids? How serious is this? I do not have a doctor or any money, my best bet is hopng I can get into the free clinic in the next month. Is that okay? What should I look for if this is more serious? Could the near fainting be connected?

Well, Thank you. I appreciate the time you took to write back, and if I could pay you something without paying you the full amount, I would. But I am not comfortable paying you $15.00 to give me the same exact iinformation that I got online for free. I am not trying to stiff you, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. I am just not happy at all with the answer I got. Again, if there is some way for me to pay you something without payng the full amount, I will be more than happy to do that. Just let me know how. Thank you for your time.

Hi, I regret that you felt unsatisfied with the information provided at JA. Dr. Manju has given the precise information, let me see if I can help you more. The bleeding with stools can be due to various reasons (as you already know), ranging from hemorrhoids, diverticula, irritable bowel disease, anal fissure etc. In hemorrhoids, there is usually accompanying pain during defecation (rarely in internal hemorrhoids there might be no pain). If there was a stomach or intestinal infection, then other symptoms like loose stools, stomach cramping should also have been present. In irritable bowel syndrome, there should be previous history of irregular stools, mucus in stools, incomplete evacuation of stools, gas formation etc. Anal fissures can form in patients with constipation, but are very very painful. So, in your case either it is an internal hemorrhoid or might be some other abnormality like diverticula, polyps etc. Diverticula or polyps can be diagnosed only on colonoscopy, which will be possible once you consult a free clinic. The other symptoms like body aches, fatigue can be explained on hypothyroidism, diabetes, presence of chronic illnesses leading to fibromyalgias. - If you have a strong family history of diabetes, have lost a lot of weight, feel very hungry and thirsty then you might be suffering from diabetes. Get your blood sugars tested
- If you have put on a lot of weight, feel tired, feel cold etc, then you might be having hypothyroidism. The irregular bowel movements and constipation can also be explained on that. This again needs blood test for Thyroid function test and subsequent treatment based on the results.
- Since you do not give a previous history of chronic illness, then fibromyalgia is ruled out.
To help with your bowel problem, I would advise you to take lots of fluids, fiber rich diet (fruits and salad), isabgol in water or milk to help with constipation. Also try not to strain during stools to avoid bleeding. Your problem of shortage of funds is understandable, but a correct diagnosis can only be made once you are examined and investigated by a doctor. Please ACCEPT the reply (by pressing the GREEN accept button), and give a BONUS if it was useful. If you need more information, just let me know. Regards Dr. Gupta

Thank you very much!! This was very helpful. Actually, I did have a holistic DR. mention something about my thyroid, but then another said it was nothing.
And as for a histroy of chronic illness- I have had many of these symptoms for years now, also chronic sinus infections and headaches all the time. The fatigue is relentless- I'm surprised I get anything done at all!! I just don't have the means to get this stuff checked, so I deal with it as best as I can.
So thank you Very much. Next time I can get into the clinic, I will bring this stuff up, and see If I can get he tests that I need done!
