Hi i had a medical termination in september, i was advised to have tests done as i had a rapid heartbeat, so i had them done and it was shown i was borderline anemia and an underactive thyroid gland. But recently i noticed fresh blood in my bowel movements and i was having nipping pains in the lower bowel along with wind. So i went to my gp and he done my blood again and done an FOB test. The FOB was negative and my blood count also went back up, but he said that the red blood cells were very small and i was iron deficency anemic but it wasnt due to my bowel. Went i went to the toilet this morning i noticed more red blood in the stool and on the stool....could it be hemmaroids?

ACCEPTED Check Mark

Bleeding from any orifice will cause blood count to drop. Blood count can be low due to excess loss, or to reduced production so an examination of the blood film can help identify the proportion of immature blood cells.
