My 26 yo daughter has an small abdominal hernia that has not been operated on because it was considered too small to really worry about unless it gets larger or acts up. Well, it is acting up. It is larger, hard and sticking out when it was soft and stayed in. What should she do? ER or see a regular doctor ASAP?

Greetings.

What hernia is it? Umbilical, epigastric, femoral or inguinal? Please let me know the exact site and location if you don't know the name.

Since when is it large, hard and sticking out?

Is she feeling, nauseous, bloating etc?

Is it painful?
