abdoman pain

I am a 43 year old mail,and I had lower lumbar surgery (L5-S1) in January. I have started having very sharp and discomfort in my lower left abdoman. It seems to be getting worse. The pain is around and inside where they went inside to do the frount part of the surgery. what could be causing this pain.
