an abdominable hernia as the result of a kidney removal. Quite large and very uncomfortable.The doctor thinks I should wait longer before surgery to put a netting around it and pull it in. Your opinion please..Joseph Ferrulli

Hello Jsoeph,

You could get a second opinion from another surgeon.

Often, mesh is used during the repair of a hernia.

Does the surgeon want you to wait to recover from the kidney removal surgery? Or did he say he wants the hernia to be larger?

You answered myon with a question. You asked does he want to wait until its larger? Its larger now and has been for 3 months, very uncomfortable, I use an abdominable belt. How about a more defined prognosis J. Ferrulli
