I am a 22 year-old Female. I discovered a pain in the left side of my lower abdomen today. The pain is constant and if I push on it I feel a little bump (smaller then a dime) that moves around, and it hurts more. The pain is not horrible but it is a little concerning. That little bump is right wear I am wearing my birth control patch (OrthoEvra). Also I recently received a bunch of shots b/c I am leaving for Africa on August 4th. Could it be a Cyst? Or a Hernia? I have had Bladder and Uninary Tract infections before and this is totally different pain. Could you give some insight?

Torsion or a rupture of an ovarian cyst, diverticulitis or a hernia needs to be ruled out . You may need an ultrasound and/or a ct scan of the abdomen . I suggest to you to see a doctor as soon as possible or go to an Emergency Room.
