I've had gerd for at least five years, have barret's syndrome in my esophagus which has now subsided with daily dose of 20 mg of omeprazole. My last endoscopy(in Oct.) was very good. But for the last 3-4 months I've had light to medium cramping and discomfort across the top of my stomach, down the left side of my abdomen into my lower abdomen on the left side. My last colonoscopy(in 2001) showed some diverticulosis. I went to Kaiser one month ago for this cramping and they gave an antibiotic which I took till it was gone(7-10 days) but this pain came back. I"ve never had blood in a stool or vomited, but I do have light headaches and some occasional slight nausea now and then. And now out of the blue I've come up with a iguanal hernia in my groin that I am going to consult with a surgeon this coming Mon. Any ideas? My G.I. guy at Kaiser seems baffled and in the meantime I'm wondering what the hell is going on.

I appreciate the info on the hernia, but I don't really have much concern about it. I am more concerned about the cramping and pain in my abdomen that has been going on for more than three months now.
