My 4 year old son has recently been diagnosed with a rectus hernia.....he has a split in his abdomen muscle but no bulging or abdomenal pain. What would cause this or what would be the treatment of this?

 Hello,

Can you tell me, do you know if this condition is also referred to under another name? Such as a Spigelian hernia ? Through research of that name in particular, I am not locating too much information backing the specific "rectus hernia" or its causes.
