I have a hyatial (SP) hernia of the esophegal sphincter. Right now it is acting up and I can't really swallow. What I manage to swallow is regurgitated shortly therafter. In the past when it is this severe I have gone to the doctors office and been given a powerful shot of narcotic to calm the muscle but I no longer have insurance and can't afford to go in. I am trying to wait this out but I've been miserable for over 20 hours now. Is there anything I can do for this on my own?

Thank you for the advice and quick responce, however I don't see how any medicine taken oraly can help me as I cant swallow and keep anything down. I'm spitting all my saliva into a cup and any that I don't, I almost immediatly regurgitate. I can't even drink water. I tried some antacid last night but that just came right back up as well.

I certainly apppreciate your time and effort with this however I already knew I could go get a shot as I had done this in the past and can't afford to do so now. I would not hesitate to use this service again and gladly pay for it but on this particular occasion I must unfortunatly not accept the answer given. I hope you understand.
