My daughter has had a hernia operation. She has had edema, skin rashes, pain, fatigue and has been to twelve specialists. She has also been to the Cleveland Clinic without success. These conditions have persisted since 12/05. Is there anywhere else she can go to be evaluated?

All these symptoms are suggestive of connective tissue disorders.

Has she been evaluated for kidney function tests, liver function tests and thyroid levels?

By edema, do you mean she has edema of her feet? where exactly?

I'm not in the medical profession, but she has red hair-had scarlet fever at the age of 17 when she was on antibotic-could she be alergic to the materials which make up the hernia mesh?

Would connected tissue disorder appear after a hernia operation? When before the operation she was normal without any of these problems.
