I had a hernia operation on 5/22/07 due to surgeries i had the Proceed Mesh inserted ( the hernia was app.12inches long) My question to you is it has been seven weeks and I am still in serious pain, and I am still draining is that normal at this time

Hi, John,

That was quite a hernia you had there. The pain can linger for months after you think it should have been gone, but the drainage 6 weeks afterwards is what concerns me. You need to see your surgeon to make sure there isn't some infection there that is causing all that draining still. If there is you will need antibiotics to clear this up so that you can heal properly. I hope this was helpful.
