It's always difficult to comment on skin without seeing in.

The fact it disappeared makes it very very unlikely to be associated with HIV.

Are you in good health?
Are you on any medication?

I can't do so immediately, but will contact my nurse-practioner for an appointment. If I can't get an appointment today-I will try to send you a picture! I need an e- mail adress to do so!

I was able to get an appointment with my MD at 2:45 today.... wish me luck and thanks for letting me know that the possibility of HIV is quite "unlikely"

Let me know how you get on.

It's most likely "age spots."

Good.

Senile purpurs aka - age spots.

As we get older we have less fat beneath our forearms and bruise more easily.

Guess you're just getting a bit more delicate!

Senile purpua have a "classic" appearance , all Drs are very familiar with them.
I'd be very surprised indeed if you MD had made the wrong diagnosis.

I'd expect the tests to be normal.
