There are always new treatments and therapies in the pipeline and it can be difficult to sort out what works. The best thing to do with a new treatment is to not use it unless you are part of a drug study so that any adverse side effects can be reported and you could get help if something goes wrong. That being said, if you decide to take a medication or treatment that has not been studied in adequate drug trials, you are in essence conducting an experiment on yourself. In that case, you might get lucky and things turn out fine, but the main point is that the outcome is unclear, much more unclear than with standard medications.
What I recommend is just following the news on this new drug and see how things turn out. Also, work with your doctor on how to optimize your HIV treatment, because there are many well tested drugs for this condition on the market right now.
