i had sex protected and the girl was at the end of her period so there was some little blood on the condom that kind of scare me when i took it off. All this happen about a 6 weeks ago and scare that i might catch hiv. i had a sore throat for about 2 days along with a cough but no fever or any swollen glands maybe 7-10 after that encounter. Still feeling scare for some reason, please tell me how safe are condoms and what are the symptoms and what are the range of weeks for symptoms? I don't know if this is true but some of the forums dr say that even if you had unprotected sex with an hiv infected person that chance that u might be infected is 1/1000 is that true?

If you wore a condom you are quite safe.

The estimates re unprotected sex with a HIV positive person are fairly accurate , although these are estimates as you cannot to a "clinical trail" to get exact numbers!

please tell me what are the symptoms of the early stage of hiv infected person migth have please dose my symptoms seem to be the ARS symptoms? please give me give me a list of symptom after infection and and when do the symptoms appear? is 6 weeks after to late for ARS symptoms or not please be as details as you can Thanks
