Yes, the HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) spreads in both directions! The disease we call AIDS comes much later when the bodies immune system starts to shut down and you see very mild infections going very bad - for example, everyone else gets a cold but the patient with AIDS gets an overwhelming pneumonia.
