say if someone used a sex toy onthem self the day befor and then i used it the next day. could you get hiv or anything that way? i did however clean it with soup and water.   well rinsed it with hot water then soup and rinsed it with hot water again. im just scared and looking for answeres. Please help?

Ok, i understand that. so to be more detailed heres what happened.   my room mate used the sex toy the day before roughly 15-20 hours after she used it i rinsed it in hot water then used soup on it then rinsed it again.   it was then used on me analy. pardon my spelling. when reading other forums i saw that hiv for one can only be passed through blood and when sexually it has to be fresh. what i mean by that is if say its dried up residue then it could not be passed by that. like i said i did wash it with hot water and soup. im just worried thats all.

Under those circumstances it would be unlikely that you were infected with HIV from the sex toy. Other STD related organisms were probably also washed away, but it's not guaranteed. If your roommate is STD free, then you probably didn't get an infection. You should each get your own sex toys and elimiate the possibility of passing an organism using the sex toy. If you have sex with eachother, that's a different story. I hope that this was helpful.
