Yellow is usually sign of infection.I would see a physician for possible antibiotics.

I have had this issue for over a year without ANY other symptoms or sign of an infection. I cannot accept your answer because I did not solicit advice to be told to see a doctor, in fact, I posted this question to avoid that outcome.

The fact that you have had this condition for over a year -- without having had any other signs of infection -- unfortunately, does not mean that you do not have an infection. Very similar chronic sinus symptoms can also be caused by allergies.

The sinuses are well-known for harboring chronic 'low-grade' infection -- sometimes for years. Just because our bodies (and we) manage to cope with the symptoms without seeking formal treatment -- does not mean that seeking medical treatment is never necessary.

That said, there are some home/natural remedies you could try. Also, look at the information at this sinusitis link.

Whether chronic sinus symptoms are caused by infection and/or allergy -- it is important to remember that chronic sinus symptoms can cause irreparable damage the sinus membranes and nasal passages.

Left untreated -- sinus infection can become so bad that sinus surgery is sometimes necessary to eradicate the infection. A doctor's appointment in some antibiotics seems a small price to pay to avoid that outcome.

Sinus infection can also spread to other areas -- like the brain or bloodstream -- and become life-threatening.

Let me know if you need more input. If not, thanks for the opportunity to assist you... I would really appreciate your honoring my efforts by 'pushing the button' and Accepting this answer. Adding a bonus -- should you wish to do so -- is always warmly welcomed.

Good Luck!

Steve
