Can men have the HPV virus?

I am a 36 y/o gay man. At 19 I had a testicle removed for suspected cancer. Experience some discomfort in other testicle (cysts); chronic pain in hips; hemmoroids with itch and discomfort. I have unprotected anal sex with my partner. He receives and has recently had 2 separate outbreaks of genital warts (one on the penis, the other on the scrotum.) Could I have infected him? I have not been unfaithful to expose him to warts.
