The testicles which sit inside the scrotum can be very sensative. Even a minor injury or infection can cause discomfort. Some causes behind testicle pain can be injury, infection or inflammation. Fluid in the testicles can cause some minor swelling and discomfort. You could have enlarged veins in the scrotum, fluid that has caused a cyst to form, or even hernia. If this is being caused by infection without treatment some infections can lead to infertility so the exact cause needs to be determined. Some home care tips that might help would be to apply ice to the scrotum, take warm baths, wearing an athletic supporter, and OTC pain relievers such as Ibuprophen, or Tylenol. If these do not seem to relieve or stop the ache that you are experiencing then I do suggest that you have an examination, urinalysis, and possible bloodwork to determine the cause and give proper treatment.
