Hi Jenn

Most likely the cause is that when they removed your uterus, a little bit of uterine tissue was left behind with the cervix. This will cause some bleeding after this type of hysterectomy. It is easy to fix though too! You will have to have another procedure where this tissue is found and cauterized.

The other possibility is that you have developed an infection in the area. Most likely you would be having discharge other then bleeding though.

Hope this helps, and I'm here for you if you have more questions.

I have gone to the office and they have cauterized my cervis twice. I had an ultrasound the other day and I had a cyst to rupture on my right ovary and he said the only thing he noticed was that I had a bunch of tiny blood vessels on my cervix. I had my period when I went for the surgery June 4th. And every month after that just like clockwork I have my period. It is just recently that I have started to bleed after sex as well and going to the bathroom It is bright red blood and real heavy. He gave me antibiotics that I took for 10 days and then another 10 days to see if that would help but it did not. This past time I had real bad cramps like I did when I was a teenager.
