I was in the hospital for 10 days last year with severe abdominal pain on my left side, two doctors thought viral infection, one though colitus. We went with viral infection after the asacol did not help. It is back after a year, normal colonoscopy, normal cat scan, and normal biopsy. My doctor says there is nothing further he can do and suggested I get a second opinion.
