I have a knot the size of a nickle behind my right ear. Its inline with the middle of my ear, not below my ear lobe where my lymph nodes are. This knot is hard and has a bruised-like feeling. I have had it come up before several months ago, and I assumed it was due to headaches or stress. I went away before, and I never thought another thing about it. But it is very painful! I can hardly lay down on my right side, it hurts so bad. My husband looked at it and said there was no "head" so it wasnt a pimple. He said it was just red and looked like it was getting raw where I had been rubbing it.
