i have a huge pimple on my chin that has caused my chin and lower lip to swell up a lot. it is very painful and has been for the past 24 hours. My chin was soft but has hardened up now. What should i do? I have tried takin asprin and it helps the swelling only for a little bit

I have already squeezed it. Is it possible that it is infected? if so what should i do?

If it wasn't ready then chances are the core of it has not come out and you may have irritated it or may have an infection. Try the warm compress several times today and see if you can draw it closer to the surface. If doing the warm compress doesn't help then you should see your doctor for possible antibiotic. If severe enough it may need to be drained, but that would be the worse case scenario. I would do the warm compress and go from there.. Hope that helps.

Take a wash cloth and run in the hot water (as hot as you can handle) and apply that to the area. You can do this several times a day which helps draw the pus/infection part toward the skin surface.

Ice will only help with the inflamation part. It won't help draw it to the surface.
