Can men get a yeast infection around there private area, and if so is there any way to tell? Also whats the fiffence in symptoms of jock itch and a male yeast infection. Lastly is there any over the counter meds for this.

I really don't wish to see a doctor until I can identify what I have on my own. Are there any major differences with a yeast infection and jock itch. I currently don't have many symptoms except a major itch that just won't go away. I have tried jock itch spray but it doesn't help much. As you stated, are you saying there are no over the counter drugs for male yeast infections.
Please let me know.

For jock itch, a flat, red, itchy rash first appears high on the inner side of one or both thighs. It spreads outward in a ringlike circular pattern while the center clears up partially. The border is sharply marked, slightly raised and often beefy red in color. Jock itch can spread to the pubic and genital regions and sometimes to the buttocks. With medication, it usually clears up in a couple weeks.
