I have been taking both Axid and Aciphex for severe GERD.

I have been taking both Axid and Aciphex for severe GERD. I have been on these meds for about 5 years and it is the only regime that helps me. I have had 3 endoscopies and been on virtually every reflux medication out there but these two together seem to do the trick. My question is "Is it harmful to be taking both of these medications at the same time?" I've been questioned by numerous doctors as to why I am on both. I can't seem to get a clear answer if it is harmful or not. Please help! Thanks!
