i had porclein veneers put on 5 teech last october 2005. The dentist when removing the tempories, could not get the one off on my left front tooth. He used a chiesel and plyors to remove it. Then he put the permanent one on. a couple weeks later, i had extreme pain in the tooth and my gum and nose became very painful...he put me on penicilin and pain pills. it cleared up so I cancelled the appointment for a root canal... now last weekend it started again. end of jan 06, it happened again...i made another appointment with for the root canal, however, i was being treated for a bladder infection at the time and was given cipro....the tooth cleared up again.....did the dentist who had to hammer off the temporary, damage the root or chip the tooth??? i have read that you should never have a root canal and if you have them, they should be removed because of infection and auto immune problems ....are there alternatives to root canals, and with a permanent veneer on the tooth, would they have to remove it or what? thank you.
