The discharge in the vagina is normally caused by local infection. If it smells then I am thinking either bacterial infection or STD. White discharge is commonly associated with a fungal infection however this is normally odourless. Having said that it might be worth a course of fungal pessaries (clotrimazole) or an oral capsule containing fluconazole just to rule out fungal infection.
Something to bear in mind with vaginal infections then quite often the male partner has an infection with no symptoms but keeps re-infecting his partner. I know you have abstained for a while but it might be worth checking your last partner for any problems. And use condoms for a while when you do start intercourse again.
If it is bacterial infection then a long course of pessaries or an oral antibacterial might be the answer. I would ask for a swab to ensure the organism causing the problem is isolated and the correct antibiotic started.
The discharge from the eyes, should not be related. A bacterial infection throughout the body would present with overall rash, or bruising problems as they tend to travel through the blood stream.
