I have a toenail (right foot big toe) that is about to fall off - do I have to do anything to get the new one to grow in properly? Is there any minor surgery involved when the new nail is not visible at all when the old one falls off? thanks Laurie

No,

You do not have to do anything, the new nail that grows is going to grow absolutley normally. All you neeed to do is avoid trauma and infection once the old toe nail falls and before the new nail comes up,

Please remember to accept the reply if you find it useful. A BONUS and a positive rating would be duly appreciated,
